Keyword Strategy : LinkedIn Learning Certified

Updated: Apr 2, 2021

SEO Specialists focus on many factors to ensure that their client's websites are seen online by the right audience. Each factor can be seen as an in-depth SEO strategy topic within itself and could easily be a reason to employ a full time SEO strategist to work within a digital marketing department to ensure that it is done correctly and with best practice.

These factors include (but are not limited to):

  • Keyword Strategy

  • Backlinks/ link building

  • Content marketing

  • Off page SOE (e.g. social media)

  • Directory listings

  • blogging and outreach

  • technical SEO and coding

  • Analytics, statistics & progression

As part of my ongoing training to ensure that I am up to date with SEO strategy practices and techniques, I am pleased to have completed the course SEO: Keyword Strategy on March 27th 2021 as taught my digital marketing expert and LinkedIn Learning tutor, Matt Bailey.

Matt is from Canton, Ohio where he is a digital marketing instructor for the Direct Marketing Association, a member of the faculty for Simplilearn, a LinkedIn Learning Instructor and an instructor for the Online Marketing Certified Professional (OMCP) Program.

He has taught Google Employees how to use Google Analytics, Experian how t present data and digital marketing workshops at Microsoft, Disney, Proctor & Gamble and IBM.

This LinkedIn course was a great synopsis of up to date, useful techniques on keyword research, grouping and implementation covering:

  • Keyword Research

  • Keyword pattern analysis

  • Keyword mapping

  • Website optimisation via keywords

  • Paid search optimisation via keywords (Google AdWords)

  • Marketing optimisation via keywords

In summary, a very useful course that adds the equivalent of 'CPD credits' to my upkeep on knowledge of modern SEO tactics and techniques.

Never stop learning!
